Text PORTSMOUTHPRIDE to 70085 to donate £10 to help Keep Pride Free
You're invited to join the Portsmouth Pride Parade
on our BRAND NEW ROUTE!!
Everyone is welcome to march in our parade as we invite community members, social groups, organisations, community leaders, politicians and more to walk shoulder-to-shoulder, tracing over 50 years' history of the pride movement in collective marches.
Groups of 10+ people, please register through the link below, but smaller groups and individuals just turn up on the day.
We're delighted that this year's parade will be led by a special group of youth representatives from across the city, led by our Member of Youth Parliament, Maya, along with over 100 of the Batala Portsmouth drummers to really stir up the atmosphere!
📅 - Saturday 6th June
📍 - Meet at the Hotwalls Studio in Old Portsmouth
⏰ - Arrive ready for the parade to start at 11.30am
🏳️🌈 - Wear your best parade outfit (swimwear coverage minimum)
👣 - Our route heads through Old Portsmouth, past Portsmouth Cathedral, before turning towards Southsea, crossing over the Rainbow Crossing and past the Queen's Hotel before entering Southsea Common for Portsmouth Pride 2026!
Remember that you do not need a ticket to join in the parade, or come to Portsmouth Pride - it is completely FREE and completely UNFENCED. We'll be celebrating 10 years of the Portsmouth Pride Trust next year and our 10th year hosting free and unfenced prides, with some special updates and changes coming...
Anyone is welcome to join the Parade as an individual or small group on the day. If you need space for 10+ people as part of a company, group, or organisation please register in advance on the link above.
Our route is almost completely flat with a total elevation of -14ft/mile and all crossings use dropped kerbs, but not all have tactile paving.
The final section of our route is on the grass of Southsea Common as we enter the main Pride site. Our walking speed is expected to be slow/leisurely at 1.5 miles per hour (2.5 kilometres per hour.)
If anyone in your group has a particular accessibility need which is not included in this information, please get in touch.
